 The following databases are available for use by the WVSS community. You need a password to access each of the databases if you are not on campus. Password sheets may be picked up at the library.
Academic Search Premier (EBSCO)
Articles from scholarly journals in nearly every academic discipline. Excellent for student and researchers.
Biography in Context delivers outstanding research support with nearly a million biographical entries spanning history and geography.
Business Source Premier (EBSCO)
Contains full text articles from 2,100 journals in all business disciplines, including marketing, management, MIS, POP, accounting, finance, and economic, as well as market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles, and SWOT analyses.
Canadian Points of View Reference Centre (EBSCO)

Contains a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. Topics covered include: environment, health, human rights, crime, race, technology, substance abuse, and many more.


Canadian Reference Centre (EBSCO)
Canadian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books. This database includes leading Canadian periodicals and international (U.S. and U.K) periodicals in full text; full text reference books; over 87,900 full text biographies and an Image Collection of over 502,000 photos, maps, and flags. This database is updated on a daily basis.
Consumer Health Complete (EBSCO)
A comprehensive resource for consumer-oriented health content. It is designed to support patients' information needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. The database is updated on a weekly basis.
Novelist Plus (EBSCO)
Find fiction by subject, or read reviews and summaries. Includes book discussion guides, author read-alikes.
Contains full text for 1,700 periodicals, 500 reference books, 107,000 primary source documents and 592,000 photos, maps & flags. Covers general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues, and more.
Encyclopedia of Family Health (GALE)
Updated resource on all health-related topics.

World Book Encyclopedia (same login and password as EBSCO)

For Teachers:

Learn360 is a media on demand service providing streaming video, audio and accompanying support materials, to educators and students.


News articles
